The Miami Hurricanes have solidified their place in the NCAA Tournament with big wins over the last two and half weeks over Virginia, Duke and Syracuse. Now the question is who will their opponent be in the NCAA Tournament?
Canes Warning has been examining the Hurricanes Bracketology all season and where they might stand in the NCAA Tournament. Bracket Matrix is a site that takes a composite of over 100 NCAA Bracketology website and puts them together to show how the consensus has the NCAA Tournament brackets.
As it stands now, Miami is solidly listed between a seven and nine seed with a couple of sixes and a ten scattered throughout the brackets. The Hurricanes recovered well late in the season with a four game winning streak.
That turned around a 2-4 start in the ACC. Miami went 11-2 in non-conference play this season. Those late wins were critical. It allowed Miami to put some big wins on their resume. Before the wins against Duke and Virginia the Hurricanes only win against a top 25 team in the RPI was against North Carolina at the Watsco Center in January.
The wins against the Blue Devils and Cavaliers added two victories against top 15 teams in the RPI. The Hurricanes have a respectable 3-5 record against the top 15 and are 3-6 against the RPI top 25 when number 25 Notre Dame is added.
