Xavier

After a 13-2 start, the Musketeers have struggled. They lost four of five in January and had a six game losing streak that lasted from February 11 to March 1. They were in danger of dropping out of the tournament.

Their only wins from The beginning of the six game losing streak through the first round of the Big East Tournament were three wins against DePaul. An upset victory over Butler in the quarterfinals of the Big East Tournament will drastically help Xavier.

Trevon Bluiett is the Musketeers star.  He averages 18.1 PPG 5.8 RPG and shoots 36.1 percent from beyond the arc. J.P Macura and Edmond Sumner provide good support and are the other Muskies to average in double figures.

Macura averages 14.3 PPG, 4.4 RPG and shoots 80.7 from the line. Sumner is at 14.3 PPG, 4.2 RPG and 4.8 assists. Rashid Gaston averages 8.1 PPG and leads X with 6.4 rebounds per game. They are a very good rebounding team ranking 20th in the nation with a 6.6 rebounding margin per game.

The Musketeers have not had any bad losses. Their best win was over Butler and they also defeated Creighton who is 28th in the RPI.
