Danny Isidora OG

Danny Isidora is a three-year starter who was named second-team All-ACC after the 2016 season. There is some question about Isidora’s ability to move around on the offensive line. He spent his entire collegiate career at right guard.

Rob Rang of CBS Sports said of Isidora:

"“Isidora is a better run blocker than pass protector at this time. His durability and power project well to the NFL and a team could find a future starter with a mid-round investment.”"

Isidora’s strengths are listed as his strength, power and mobility. His questions are his ability to get off the ball

The projections for Isidora seem to be varied. He could go as high as the third round on day two per CBS Sports or in the fifth or sixth on day three per NFL.Com. Whatever happens, Isidora will be the first Miami offensive lineman picked since Jon Felicano was a fifth-round pick in 2015.

Corn Elder CB/DB/KR

Before the 2016 season, Corn Elder was best known for returning a kickoff for a touchdown in Miami’s improbable win at Duke in 2015. He asserted himself as the leader of a young defense in 2016.

Elder finished second on the team in solo tackles, third on the team in total tackles, first in passes defended and fifth with three sacks. Elder’s outstanding season earned him first team All-ACC.

He ran a 4.55 40 at the combine. Questions have risen about Elder being undersized. He is listed at 5’10 183 pounds. He has been praised for having a high football IQ and the ability to play outside and in the slot.

Elder will an asset on special teams. He can play both on kick coverage and as a returner. He returned a punt and kickoff for a touchdown as a Junior in 2015. CBS and NFL.Com agree that Elder is likely to be selected in the fourth of fifth round.
