Standish Dobard played tight end and on the defensive line at Miami. He had 18 receptions for 284 yards and one touchdown during his Hurricane career. On defense, he recorded one tackle.

The Post reported the Dobard was in his best shape for Miami’s pro day. He was listed at 6’4, 254 pounds and ran a 4.64 40 yard dash.

"Dobard said “I’m real happy with that…It’s an honor to be in front of those guys…Once I get there [to the NFL], I’m going to give it my all.”"

He gets a tryout with the Seahawks who already have an all-pro tight end and Hurricanes alum Jimmy Graham at tight end. Dobard’s versatility to play on both sides of the line could help him catch the eye of the Seahawks. Luke Willson also has provided the Seahawks with depth and a second receiving threat at tight end.

This is will especially be helpful on special teams. Dobard should be able to block up front on kickoff, punts and field goals and help the kick rush on both punts and field goal attempts against.
