Fans need to be far more realistic about the streak. Those that thought it was going to last forever are fooling themselves. Even in football and basketball, teams have down seasons.

Under Morris’ tutelage, the Hurricanes have won two National Championships. In that same span, LSU is the only school that has won more titles. South Carolina and Oregon State are the only other schools that have equaled the Hurricanes two.

Virginia is the only other ACC team to have won a National Title in that span and North Carolina is the team other than the Cavaliers and Hurricanes to even make it to the National Championship Final.
