Brown played four seasons at Miami, Barry three. Several of Barry’s school records seem unattainable.

The Warriors were in their 13th season in the Bay Area after moving from Philadelphia in the 1975 season. They played the first nine seasons there as the San Francisco Warriors before changing their name for the 1971-72 season.

Barry was drafted by the Warriors in 1965. He won the Rookie of the Year in 1966. Barry averaged 25.7 PPG and 10.6 RPG.

Behind Barry, the Warriors advanced to their second finals in San Francisco before losing to the Philadelphia 76ers four games to two. Barry averaged 40 PPG in the series.

Barry would sit out the following season in a contract dispute. He joined the American Basketball Association’s Oakland Oaks for the 1968-69 season.

Barry spent four seasons in the ABA with three different teams before returning to the NBA and the Warriors for the 1972-73 season. The Warriors advanced to the Western Conference Finals in Barry’s first season back.

After winning their conference semifinal series against the Milwaukee Bucks, the Warriors lost in five games to the Lakers in the Conference Finals.

They missed the playoffs the following season. The Warriors finished the 1974-75 season with a 48-34 record. That earned them the Western Conference’s number one seed.
