Ladies and Gentleman, N’Kosi Perry:

Perry is listed as the sixth best duel threat quarterback and 29th ranked player in the state of Florida by 247Sports. Miami fans are excited about the skill set that Perry brings.

Perry will bring those things to the Miami playbook. He’s a multi-talented player that brings a new dimension for Richt. He has a chance to come in and start from day one as a true freshman. Kaaya did the same.

Discussing Perry’s potential Richt said:

"“He can throw, he can run, he can think,” Richt said of Perry. “He’s got a chance to be a good player.”"

Starting as a true freshman is rare. Kaaya was the exception more than the rule. He will face a steep learning curve this summer and in camp. Richt discussed his prodigy.

"“He’s got to learn what he can do before he competes…You don’t want to throw a guy in before he’s ready, and he’s got to outperform these other guys. A lot of people think I’m saying N’Kosi’s going to be the guy. But really, all I’m saying is I’m going to give him a chance to be the guy.”"

Perry seems to be getting more than just a chance. Miami wants to give him every opportunity to be the starting quarterback. The high likelihood is the starting quarterback on September 2 is going to be Rosier or Perry.
