The Hurricanes can have a great season and still appear in the Sun Bowl or Camping World Bowl. A number 11 ranking would be a great season.

CFN’s short synopsis about Miami was posted with their top 25 rankings:

"11. Miami Hurricanes Relative Strengths: Mark Richt, Linebacker Relative Concerns: Expectations, Proven QB Why Are They Here? Let the hype kick in. Richt is one of the best coaches in the game, and he’s got the defense that could turn into the best in the ACC with a little luck. The offense has upside, but the quarterback play has to rock. 2016 Final Season Ranking: 11 (9-4) 2016 CFN Preseason Ranking: 25"

CFN also did an extensive look at Miami. They discussed the offensive and defensive keys and what you need to know about each unit. They also listed the best offensive and defensive players, what will make the ‘Canes better than last season, the key player to a successful season, what will make the season a success and the key game next season.

CFN’s take on the offense is:

"“Four starters are gone up front, but there are good options to fill in – even though there’s little depth to rely on now – and there was a good enough rotation to expect the production to continue. However …Biggest Key To The Miami Offense….The running game has to always work.”"
