Which Miami Hurricanes Games Are Most Likely to Be Hosted by ESPN Gameday?
The Hurricanes spoiled the what was set up to be a National Championship game with a 27-10 victory. Miami then defeated Alabama in the Sugar Bowl to claim its third National Championship.
This year’s game is not likely to have the same impact. Notre Dame is coming off of a 4-8 season. They lost quarterback Deshon Kizer to the NFL and his backup Malik Rozier transferred to Florida.
This will mark Miami’s third straight game against a team with a new quarterback. The game will generate a lot of buzz because of the programs and their history.
Despite the history, it’s highly unlikely that Gameday is in South Florida for this game. Ohio State-Michigan and Clemson-Florida State will be the two games to get the majority of the attention that week. Those two games can be seen as de facto college football play quarterfinals.
