ACC Kickoff days gives the media a chance to meet with two players and the Head Coach from each ACC team. Mark Richt talked extensively about coaching at Miami.

Since his return to Miami in December of 2015, Miami Hurricanes Head Coach Mark Richt has repeatedly talked about the perks of living and working in South Florida. He frequently refers to living in Coconut Grove and South Florida as Paradise. Richt discussed all things coaching at Miami at ACC Kickoff Days.

The Paradise term has spawned what is likely to become an annual July event, the Paradise Camp. At the ACC Kickoff Media Days in Charlotte on Friday, Richt was asked about a variety of subjects.

One of the biggest ones was coaching at Miami. Specifically coaching in his second year of running a football program and returning to coach at his alma mater.

Richt gave an opening statement before he gave way to his selected players. Running back Mark Walton and linebacker Shaq Quarterman. Walton spoke about his backup at running backs, their talent and what makes them diverse. Quarterman was asked about the differences of being in his second year in the program.

He was very complimentary about Walton and Quarterman.

"“I’ve got the pleasure to bring Shaq Quarterman and Mark Walton, the two players I actually chose to come…I invited them because they’re a great representation of our program on and off the field. They’re special people. They’re special players, and I’m honored to be their coach.”"
