Nine Miami Hurricanes Selected in SI MMQB All-Time NFL Draft
Jim Otto was the first player from the University of Miami voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Otto played linebacker and center at Miami before joining the Oakland Raiders of the new American Football League.
In his 15 season Hall of Fame Career, Otto played in 308 consecutive games. That included the preseason. He never missed a game.
Otto was a member of the Raiders team that lost Super Bowl II to the Green Bay Packers. Otto played next to Hall of Fame guard Gene Upshaw during his career. He also played for Hall of Fame Coaches Al Davis and John Madden.
