Olsen had developed into one of the NFL’s elite receivers at tight end with the Carolina Panthers after spending the first four years of his NFL career with the Chicago Bears.
Olsen has gone over 1,000 yards during the last three seasons. He is the first tight end in NFL history with three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons. Olsen has earned second team All-Pro twice each from Pro-Football Focus and the Sporting News over the last four seasons.
Olsen had averaged 62.2 receptions for 736.5 yards and 5.2 touchdowns per season in his career. He has been the Panthers leading receiver over the last four seasons. Olsen set a career high with 84 receptions in 2014. During the Panthers Super Bowl season in 2015, he led the team and set a career high with 1,104 yards.
Olsen played three seasons for the Miami Hurricanes. In three seasons with the Hurricanes Olsen had 87 reception for 1,215 yards and six touchdowns. He had college career highs of 40 receptions and 489 yards in his final season in 2006.
