Calais Campbell

3-4 DE

"Campbell is long-armed and stronger than hell. It feels like he should have gotten old but will only be 31 on opening day, and has shown no sign of decline. In fact, he’s probably coming off a career year in Arizona."

Calais Campbell spent the first nine years of his career with the Arizona Cardinals. Campbell signed a four-year $60 million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars in the offseason.

Campbell was selected second-team All-NFL by Pro Football Focus in 2011 and 2016 and by the Associated Press in 2014. The AP selected Campbell first-team All-Pro last season.

The defensive end had a career high nine sacks in 2013 and a career high 71 tackles in 2013. Many called last season Campbell’s best. His first selection as a first-team All-Pro would indicate that.

Campbell scored his first career touchdown last season on a fumble return, had a career high with three fumble recoveries and added eight sacks. The 6’8 282 lineman joins a young Jaguars defense hoping to improve.

The Jaguars were fifth against the run last season, but 19th against the pass. They were also just 24th in rushing touchdowns allowed.
