The Miami Hurricanes are both deep and talented on the defensive front seven. In addition to returning most of their defensive tackles and ends two deep, the Hurricanes are also bringing in a lot of talent on the D-line this season.

R.J. McIntosh who starts opposite Norton as the other tackle spoke about the Freshmen joining Miami on the defensive line this season. He was specifically referring to D.J. Johnson and Jonathan Garvin.

"“If they can play, they’re going to play…Adding them to the D-ends is a good thing. It will also give Chad [Thomas] and Joe Jackson a break. They’re going to play.”"

Braxton Berrios On his Senior Season

Braxton Berrios is hoping to contribute more as a wide receiver in his Senior season. Berrios was extremely productive as a punt returner in 2016. That has landed him mention among the most versatile players in the country and landed him on some preseason All-ACC teams as a return man or specialist.

Berrios has 45 receptions for 496 yards and five touchdowns during his three seasons with Miami. His career high was as a Freshman in 2014 with 21 for 232 and three touchdowns.
