Miami Hurricanes Practice Report: Day 1
As a punt returner, Berrios had 19 returns for 232 yards and one touchdown last season. For Berrios to be productive, Miami is going to need one of the freshmen to help take some of the return responsibilities off of Berrios.
Berrios talked about the beginning of his last camp at Miami.
"“It’s crazy. They tell you it flies by and you don’t believe it at first, but now I’m sitting in the center of that front row and this is my last camp and it’s real…It came quick. Summer really flew by and we got a lot done. Coming out here, there are mistakes on the first day that are typical first day things but we are excited and I think you can feel that. Energy is really high and I think we are well off and well ahead of where we were at this point last year.”"
Miami will need leadership from Berrios, Herndon and the other Seniors and upperclassmen on what is still a young team. There is a lot of excitement from the fanbase about what the Miami Hurricanes can accomplish this season.
The fans need to be patient. Mark Richt is still only in his second season with the Hurricanes. There are question marks at quarterback, the secondary and with depth at tight end and running back.
