Fans have been waiting throughout the entire offseason to see who the quarterback will be. The starter will emerge from Junior Malik Rosier, Sophomore Evan Sheriffs and Freshmen N’Kosi Perry and Cade Weldon.

"“Outside of quarterback, they bring back more experience than anybody in the division, so that will be the key. They played a bunch of freshmen last year all over the field, so they’ve got some guys who can step in, and they’re recruiting well.”"

The experience is through parts of the team but not others. Miami returns their entire front seven on defense. In the secondary, Jaquan Johnson and Malek Young were part time starters last season.

Offensively, Herndon, Richards and Walton return at the skill positions. Behind them, there is not much experience. The offensive line is mostly experienced.

"“Toward the end of the season they were playing good fundamental football and it really showed in the bowl game. I think it will help those guys to be in the second year of the system.”"

The 2016 season was one of streaks for the Miami Hurricanes. After starting the season 4-0, they lost their next four games. UM then closed the season with five straight wins including the bowl victory over West Virginia.
