Tight End Depth
Herndon is the only returning tight end on Miami’s roster that has a career reception. He will be a much larger part of the passing game this season as a Senior.
In two seasons, Herndon has 46 receptions for 571 yards and three touchdowns. With David Njoku giving up his final two seasons of eligibility, Herndon will be one of the key targets to whoever emerges from the quarterback battle.
Albuquerque native Curry is a walk on redshirt Sophomore currently second on the Miami Hurricanes depth chart per the Palm Beach Post. He was on the practice squad last season after redshirting in his true freshman season.
In addition to losing Njoku, Miami also lost Jovani Haskins who transferred to West Virginia. The only remaining scholarship players on the roster are Sophomore Michael Irvin II and Freshman Brian Polendey.

Irvin’s experience has primarily been on special teams. He has yet to catch a pass during his Miami career.
Polendey enters Miami known more as a blocker than a receiver. He is still raw as a pass catcher. With the lack of depth, Polendey should still be able to help when the Hurricanes need an extra blocker on the offensive line.
