Veteran College Football writer Bruce Feldman wrote the article. He brought up the potential 2018 top-five recruiting class, the front seven that the Hurricanes have returning and the speed the Hurricanes could have on offense. All of those things were a given during the glory years of Miami Hurricanes football.

Feldman projects that the Hurricanes have a chance to make a run at an ACC title…in his words…next year. The Hurricanes are favored to win the ACC Coastal this season. Not a lot of people seem ready to anoint the Hurricanes as ready to challenge Clemson, Florida State and Louisville.

Feldman next went onto say that the QB could be the key to a surprise run to the College Football Playoff this season.

"“If the Canes can figure out their QB situation—and last year’s underwhelming O-line improves in support of whoever’s in the pocket—Miami’s defense looks salty enough to hold up its end of a playoff contention argument right now.”"

Feldman went onto examine the Hurricanes outlook for this season. He posted in part of the article about what there is to love about the Miami Hurricanes 2017 team.

"“What to love: Miami has one of the best D-lines in the country, with a legit front four of Chad Thomas (11 tackles for loss last season), Kendrick Norton (10 TFLs), RJ McIntosh (nine TFLs) and Joe Jackson (8.5 sacks as a freshman last year) and there’s some studs behind those guys too.”"
