Several publications and websites nationally have posed the question is the U back. The U will always have its detractors. Florida and even more so Florida State fans will never truly give Miami the credit it deserves.

The Seminoles fan base is obsessed with anything relating to Miami. Florida seems to go more about their own business. Miami fans are more concerned with how UM is doing.

Almost no matter where you turn the question about the Hurricanes is on the mind of National reporters. This speaks volumes about a program that won its first bowl game ten in years last season, hasn’t had a ten win season since 2003, hasn’t played for a National Championship since 2002 or won one since 2001.

Not many other schools would stay in the national discussion without the lack of on-field team success that the U has lacked. What has kept the Hurricanes relevant is their past success and continued success of their individual players.

Miami’s nine drafted players in the 2017 draft were third behind Alabama and Michigan. In virtually every examination of the 2017 season, the National publications and website are asking about Miami.
