Hale posted his own overall preview of the ACC in power ranking the conference that was released on Monday. He ranks the Hurricanes first in the Coastal Division and third overall in the Conference.

"“Like Clemson, Miami went with the veteran at quarterback to start the season, and given the talent on the defensive side of the ball, Malik Rosier was probably the wise choice. He doesn’t need to dominate for Miami to be good; the defense should keep the Canes close in every game. But Miami also hasn’t beaten Florida State since 2009, and until that hurdle is overcome, the power structure in the ACC remains in the Atlantic.”"

ESPN Senior Writer Mark Schlabach wrote a pair of articles praising the Miami Hurricanes this season. They were both posted on Tuesday. They were titled “Everything you need to know about the Power 5 before they play a game” and “2017 bold predictions: Look out for Urban Meyer’s revenge in 2017“.

The first article has a mini-preview of each conference. His praise of the U begins with predicting that Richt will be the ACC Coach of the Year. He later lists Miami Hurricanes Defensive Coordinator Manny Diaz as the ACC Coordinator on the Rise.
