A three-star recruit, Polendey will look to fill the number two spot at TE and brings a tenacious blocking ability to the field. He will play, mainly because the Hurricanes are so thin at the position.
A raw route runner, Polendey is a work-in-progress at the position. A year to gain weight and strength will improve his future outlook.
Offensive Line
Navaughn Donaldson
Donaldson is the offensive recruit expected to have the biggest impact at the start of the season. He will be counted upon to immediately settle the right guard position on the offensive line.
Donaldson has unusual mobility for a man of his immense size. He will undoubtedly add some punch to the Hurricanes’ running game. Rated the number 72 overall national recruit, Donaldson will prove to be an All-ACC player in short order.
Corey Gaynor
Of all the offensive recruits that Miami added this year, Gaynor is the most underrated. Rated only 176th in the state of Florida, Gaynor is already pushing for playing time. Known for playing angry, Corey Gaynor will immediately add toughness and ability to this OL.
Another player that will eventually see his name on All-ACC lists. Gaynor will be one of the top-seven OL that play a lot on game day.
