15 Georgia at 24 Notre Dame 7:30 ET NBC

Miami Hurricanes Head Coach Mark Richt’s former team heads to South Bend after opening the season with a 31-10 win over Appalachian State. Notre Dame opened the season with a 49-13 win over Temple.

Georgia barely needed their passing game against App State for the victory. Nick Chubb and Sony Michel form one of the nation’s best backfield tandems.

Michel ran 16 times for 87 yards and a touchdown. Chubb had 15 for 97 and two touchdowns. Jake Fromm was efficient at quarterback. He was 10-15 for 143 yards and a touchdown. He will likely be counted on to do more at Notre Dame.

Notre Dame used an impressive running game in their victory over Temple. Three players racked up over 100 yards on the ground. Josh Adams ran for 161 yards and two touchdowns, quarterback Brandon Winbush for 106 and one touchdown and Dexter Williams for 124 and a touchdown.

Four different Fighting Irish ran for touchdowns and six players scored in all. Nyles Morgan led the Notre Dame defense with eight tackles.
