Georgia Tech, October 12

Clinton Lynch is poised to become Georgia Tech’s big play player offensively in 2017. He was a dual threat running and receiving last season. Lynch led Georgia Tech in receiving yards last season and is their leading returning rusher.

Lynch was a threat to score every time he touched the ball last season. He had 16 receptions for 490 yards and six touchdowns. That’s over 30 yards per reception. Lynch added 37 carries for 415 yards and another two touchdowns.

He scored a touchdown every six times he touched the ball last season. In two career games against the Miami Hurricanes Lynch has eight carries for 109 yards and a touchdown and three receptions for 24 yards.

Lynch will be a player that the Hurricanes have to account for at all times. He is listed as the backup at one of the Yellow Jackets AB spots at running back. They will move him around.

Against Georgia Tech the game plan is always clear facing the triple option. If you stop Georgia Tech’s run and make them throw the football you take them completely out of their comfort zone.
