The Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette newspaper (NWADG) as recently as Saturday continued to troll the Miami Hurricanes regarding their decision to cancel their game at Arkansas State.

In an article titled “Miami cancellation adds to ASU’s frustration” author, Rick Fires went into detail how the Miami Hurricanes made the wrong decision to cancel the game.

It’s puzzling how those with any set of ties to the Arkansas State community can continue to question the Miami Hurricanes Athletic Administration for their decision to focus on getting ready for and then recovering from a Hurricane instead of deciding to play a football game.

The NWADG is situated closer to the University of Arkansas. It is based in Lowell and an outpost of the Democrat Gazette that is based in Little Rock. Lowell is 194 miles from Jonesboro. The driving distance is about 300 miles.

It’s astounding that as Miami was awaiting a Hurricane that some people in the Arkansas State community were more concerned with why the Miami Hurricanes chose to cancel their game with the Red Wolves.
