With the 2nd week in a row without a game, Miami Hurricanes fans can have an eye turned elsewhere. The marquee game of the weekend is Louisville at Clemson.

With Hurricane Irma causing billions of dollars in damage and Miami’s campus closed the U is off for the second consecutive week. After engineers determined Hard Rock Stadium safe, the Miami Hurricanes will get back to the gridiron against Toledo September 23.

The cancellation of the Miami Hurricanes-Florida State game means that the Seminoles are also off for the second straight week. Central Florida and Florida International have also canceled their games this weekend.

South Florida and Florida Atlantic have elected to play their games this weekend. Both teams are at home. South Florida will host Illinois. FAU is hosting Bethune-Cookman. The Hurricanes defeated the Wildcats 41-13 in the only game they have played this season.

USF and Illinois will have some local interest. Illini running back Mike Epstein prepped at St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale. USF features their own star quarterback from South Florida. Quinton Flowers played his high school football at Miami Jackson.

Other than that, the Bulls and Fighting Illini will not have much interest for Miami Hurricanes fans. There are several other games to keep an eye on.
