The Blue Devils are coming off of an impressive 41-17 win over Northwestern last week. Daniel Jones is the best quarterback in the ACC Coastal.

Jones shredded the Northwestern for 305 yards, two touchdowns and an interception passing and 105 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. The Duke offense ran for 233 yards overall and rolled up 538 yards.

The Duke defense was outstanding. Northwestern was only able to amass 191 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils defense held NU to 22 yards on 21 carries on the ground. That included 40 yards in sacks.

Wildcat star running back Justin Jackson could only manage 18 yards on seven carries. Even without the sack yardage, Northwestern only ran for 62 yards on 17 carries. That’s an average of 3.64 yards per carry.

Shaun Wilson helped add to the Blue Devils ground game. He finished with 58 yards on 14 carries and touchdown. Brittan Brown also carried the ball 14 times last week. He managed only 29 yards.

The defense was a team effort. Four different players sacked Northwestern quarterback Clayton Thorsen. Defensive back Michael Carter II had two interceptions.

Like Pittsburgh, Baylor is led by a graduate transfer at quarterback. Anu Solomon transferred from Arizona for this season.

Baylor is 0-2 after a pair of embarrassing losses. The Bears were defeated by FCS Liberty in the opener. They followed that up with a loss to Texas-San Antonio.

Solomon has thrown for 399 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. He really struggled against UTSA. Solomon completed just 10 of 26 passes for 121 yards.
