After running for 422 yards in the opener on 44 carries, the Irish struggled on the ground against Georgia. The Irish ran for 123 net yards on 34 carries. Quarterback Brandon Winbush was sacked three times for a net loss of 34 yards.
Winbush threw for 210 yards in the loss to Georgia. The Irish defense allowed 392 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs ran for 185 yards.
The player to watch is Boston College Defensive End, Harold Landry. Landry was ranked the number nine player in the country by Sports Illustrated.
