The Miami Hurricanes have released their depth chart for Friday night’s game at Duke. There are no big surprises on the list.

Starting wide receiver Ahmmon Richards is expected to make his Miami Hurricanes season debut against the Blue Devils. Backup defensive end Demetrius Jackson who did not play Saturday against Toledo is expected back against Duke. No reason has been given for Jackson’s absence.

Head Coach Mark Richt had shuffled around the starting receiver positions for the Miami Hurricanes first two games. Braxton Berrios and Freshman Mike Harley are expected to maintain their starting spots. Richards and Lawrence Cager are listed as the co-starters at the X-Receiver position.

There only was only a pair of mild surprises. Mike Smith and Michael Pinckney are listed as the co-starters at weakside linebacker. Michael Jackson and Malek Young are listed as the co-starters as one of cornerback positions.

The Hurricanes also still appear to be shuffling out who the kick returners will be this season. Freshman Jeff Thomas has been the only player to return kickoffs for Miami this season. He is averaging 22.2 yards on six returns. Braxton Berrios has the only punt return for 12 yards.

The Hurricanes are likely to continue to play a lot of wide receivers and defensive backs. Miami struggled to get their players in and out of the game on Saturday against Toledo. Both Richt and Defensive Coordinator Manny Diaz were concerned with Miami’s conditioning after three weeks off.

Richt thought that the temperature dropping later in the game helped the Hurricanes during their dominant second half.
