The win over Florida State is an important program builder. Richt won’t have to hear about the losing streak when recruiting in-state players. His players won’t have to hear about it from their peers and the Miami fan base finally has bragging rights.

"What does it mean to end Florida State’s dominance in this series? “It’s really not me. You’ve got to have leadership and the head coach is the face of the program. If you don’t hire good people and they don’t do their jobs … I am game planning again, I’m coaching QB’s with my son again, I am calling plays again. So I’m coaching. I’m busy. I’m not micro-managing everything that’s going on. Everybody understands the standard that’s been set. But they’ve got to do their job. If they don’t do their job, I can’t do my job well. Our staff has done an awesome job of taking care of business. Our players have really bought into trying to be great and trying to do it the way we want them to.”"

Miami now needs to take the win over Florida State and build on it. Georgia Tech brings the nation’s second-ranked rushing offense to Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday. A win over the Yellow Jackets would put Miami in the driver’s seat to win the ACC Coastal and get to Charlotte for the Conference Championship game.
