"“This last game in particular, we were going to play a lot of man coverage and try to get to the quarterback and disrupt him. … It wasn’t so much that we were getting whipped physically, but the philosophy of the last game was to play a lot of man coverage. … then we tried to get a little bit of change-ups by the stunting of our lineup and because of that, a couple runs popped. …”"


The offense stalling in the red zone has also been an issue. Miami has had several big-play touchdowns. Is the inability to do that inside the 20 an issue?

"“If you score from a distance, that helps. You don’t have to deal with the red zone. … We’re frustrated as coaches. I know the players are. We have to get more movement. We have to run better. We have to get behind our pads and when we do throw the ball, we have to put it in play and guys have to hang on to it. … It’s frustrating.”"

Ask any coach and teams can always strive to get better. If the Hurricanes can get up big early in the game against North Carolina that might allow Richt and his staff to be able try some things both offensively and defensively they could use against later in the season.
