Enter Manny Diaz. The architect of the Turnover Chain showed you his worth is more than the chain’s contents of gold and pizzazz. Diaz was Virginia Tech Head Coach Justin Fuentes’ Enter Sandman. Never mind that noise you heard Hokies. It was just the Hurricanes limiting you to ten points.

The Hurricane defense was unwavering and relentless. Miami forced four turnovers and another three turnovers on downs. The turnover chain mania that is sweeping the nation even got A-list love when A-Rod and Jennifer Lopez were in on the act.  Oh, Miami. You are so beautiful when you are on full display.

And here is the statement. Finally. Finally, these players get what they deserve. After all these years the players have coaches who understand development and a quality game plan. And finally, these players have the neighborhood back in their seats.

And my how those players did not disappoint with that audience. A Travis Homer 64 yard score. A strip sack fumble by Jonathan Garvin. A Jaquan Johnson one-handed interception. Christopher Herndon’s 43-yard Touchdown reception. Take your pick. There was many to pick from.

Perfection. Miami is 8-0. But in all honesty that wasn’t the most perfect thing that emerged from the Hurricanes win last night. A perfect aspect was that Miami was Miami again for the whole world to see. All of us.
