"“I remember way back when I was at Florida State and Virginia always had these great-looking body types, very tough guys, hard-nosed … They were really good. I think that historically, they’re a team that can physically line up with anybody and get after you. It’s not shocking. I didn’t pay a lot of attention the 15 years I was gone, but I know Miami’s record might be 4-5 or 5-4 or something like that. It’s really a close battle.”"

Virginia is more of a finesse team this season that Richt’s recollection of them from his time at Florida State nearly 20 years ago. They are led offensive by quarterback Kurt Benkert who has 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Defensively, linebacker Micah Kiser and safety Quin Blanding are excellent, but the defense has struggled at times.

Richt might not be paying that close attention this year. UVA has struggled running the ball and stopping the run. It’s tough to say that a team is hard-nosed if they cannot do either well. Despite that, it’s tough to know what to expect from the Hurricanes. Hopefully, Miami will play the way they did the past two weeks instead of their October performance.
