The Miami Hurricanes hope to complete an undefeated regular season when they travel to play the Pittsburgh Panthers. Pittsburgh enters the game 4-7.
Pittsburgh has been dominated by the Miami Hurricanes in the series. UM holds a 25-10-1 all-time lead against Pittsburgh. They have won ten of the last 11 meetings and 18 of the last 20.
Last season was a Miami Hurricanes demolition. The Canes used a 17 point fourth quarter to pull away to a 51-28 victory. Miami rolled up 534 yards of total offense. A few stars from that game will play on Friday.
Jester Weah of Pittsburgh had three receptions for 115 yards a touchdown. Pittsburgh’s Quadree Henderson had a 100-yard kickoff return that tied the game early in the first quarter. Ahmmon Richards scorched the Pittsburgh defense for eight receptions for 144 yards.
Mark Walton will be missed against the Panthers. He had 125 yards on fourteen carries and a touchdown and added three receptions for 25 yards and a touchdown. Travis Homer has over 1,000 yards of total offense this season replacing Walton.
The Sophomore has rushed for 854 yards and seven touchdowns and added another 217 receiving yards on 17 receptions with one touchdown.
