The Panthers two leading rushers Darrin Hall and Qadree Ollison have been efficient when they are given the opportunity. Hall is averaging 5.1 yards per carry and Ollison 4.4. Do everything Quadree Henderson is averaging 7.1 yards per rush on 32 carries.
The Miami Hurricanes secondary was considered the weakness of the defense entering the season. They have been anything but. Miami is second nationally with 17 interceptions. They also lead the country with an average of 3.8 sacks per game. While they haven’t been able to stuff the run, the Hurricanes have had a big play defense against opposing passing offenses.
The Hurricanes are giving up a respectable 211.7 yards per game through the air. The Panthers pass offense is middling. They average 219.9 yards per game through the air. That’s 71st in the country.
Pittsburgh does have some playmakers in the passing game. Weah has 35 receptions for 618 yards and four touchdowns. His 17.7 yards per reception ranks seventh in the ACC. Rafael Arujo-Lopes leads Pittsburgh with 41 receptions for 510 yards and two touchdowns. Henderson always has to be accounted for. He is a threat to score every time he touches the ball.
