"“Three guys playing your outside receivers and eight guys in the box…That’s why there were a lot of people wide open”"

Rosier who is likely to end the season as Miami’s second-leading rusher led the Hurricanes on the ground with a game-high 31 yards rushing. He also had their game-long run of 15 yards on the afternoon.

Richt spoke about the importance of big plays creating team energy. He has often spoken in the past this season about the importance of big plays on offense.

"“Any game it helps to have something to get excited about…In the course of any game when you are making plays you create more energy…More of an execution issue than anything else”"

Richt discussed the loss of starting tight end Christopher Hernon IV for the remainder of the season because of a torn medial collateral ligament. Michael Irvin II will replace him.

He’s a guy that’s been a little bit up and down, more up than down lately.”

"Rose asked Richt” Do you go more wide receivers and less with Irvin? Richt said “A little bit of both. We might be got more snaps with three or four receivers.”"

The Hurricanes have to adapt quickly with one of their most important offensive players. It’s not unlike when they lost starting running back Mark Walton after the win over Florida State.
