When something goes wrong one person often becomes the scapegoat. The Miami Hurricanes Steve Bartman in the loss to Pittsburgh was quarterback Malik Rosier. The fans have had a short memory of the multiple rallies that Rosier has led this season.
Friday’s game was the fourth one this season that Rosier completed less than 50 percent of his passes for the Miami Hurricanes. Many of the Miami fans on Twitter were placing the blame for the loss to Pittsburgh solely on Rosier.
There were posts about if Miami had Alabama’s Jalen Hurts or name your quarterback of the moment that would have led Miami to a victory. The 24-14 loss to the Panthers was a team loss. The defense did what it could for most of the game. The special teams and entire offense struggled thoughout.
Rosier missed open receivers, Miami couldn’t get the running game going and the punting was poor throughout the afternoon.
Pittsburgh Head Coach Pat Narduzzi was a Defensive Coordinator at Michigan State before he took over as the Head Coach of the Panthers. His game plan put the pressure on Rosier to beat him. The Panthers focused defensively on stopping the Miami run and it worked.
