On the busiest day of his short collegiate career, Freshman Punter Zach Feagles averaged 36.7 yards per punt on ten kicks. His inconsistent performance gave the Panthers too many short fields.

That created a lot of pressure on the Miami defense. The turnover chain made two appearances on Friday as the Miami Hurricanes defense allowed just 345 total yards and added two tackles for loss and a sack. The latter two were significantly below the Miami season average.

The Hurricanes came into the game first in the country with an average of 3.8 sacks per game and were second in tackles for loss at 8.6.

They are going to have to put pressure on the Clemson offensive line and whomever they play in their bowl game or the College Football Playoff. If they cannot win the game in the trenches, the Hurricanes will continue to be exposed.

The undefeated 10-0 start will be long forgotten. That would also lead to going into the offseason on a sour note. Last season, the Hurricanes were able to build momentum towards 2017 with five straight wins to finish the season. That included their first bowl win in ten years.
