A 10-1 regular season, Three appearances on the ABC primetime game of the week, two on ESPN college gameday including the first ever on the Miami Hurricanes campus and the turnover chain have brought national recognition back to the Miami football program.

In just two seasons since returning to his Alma mater Mark Richt has returned the swagger to the U. The Miami Hurricanes have accomplished a lot in two seasons since taking over what many considered to be an irrelevant program nationally two years ago.

The Miami Hurricanes had a pair of blips on the national college football radar during the 2015 season. The first was a 58-0 home loss to Clemson. A week later Miami pulled off one of the most improbable victories in college football history with the “Miracle in Durham” at Duke.

The loss to the Tigers led to then Miami Head Coach Al Golden’s firing. Richt took over about five weeks later following his own dismissal from Georgia.

Since taking over his Alma mater, Richt has led the Miami Hurricanes to a 19-4 record, their first bowl win in ten seasons, a 15 game winning streak, a win over Florida State to break a seven-game losing streak to the Seminoles and their first ACC Coastal Division title.
