Florida State appears to be more troubled currently. Jimbo Fisher stringing out the Seminoles with his decision to leave for Texas A&M likely cost FSU some recruits. Three have already withdrawn their oral commitment this week. That dropped the Seminoles from ninth to 14th overall in the rankings. The Gators are 11th.

Miami has been ranked number one at times throughout the 2018 recruiting cycle but is now third. Miami has a huge advantage over their two biggest in-state rivals in the recruiting rankings from this year’s class.

Fourteen players in the top 100 in Florida are committed to Miami, eight to Florida and seven to Florida State. Only three Seminoles and two Gators are in the top 50.

Florida and Florida State are starting over, while the Hurricanes will be playing for a conference championship.
