Richt has praised the difference the fanbase has made in making Hard Rock Stadium a tough place for opponents to play this season. Miami finished 7-0 at home this season after going 4-2 at the Rock last season.

The Miami Hurricanes have gotten a lot of criticism since leaving the Orange Bowl for Hard Rock Stadium. Miami Defensive Coordinator Manny Diaz said after the Hurricanes victory over Notre Dame that the Rock was as loud as the Orange Bowl ever was.
