Fandom’s 250 Underrates the Miami Hurricanes fanbase

Very few sports programs have had one, let alone two 30 for the 30s on them. The two 30 for 30’s the U were a big success. Add to that the Catholic vs. Convicts 30 for 30 and Miami has been featured prominently. Miami based Director Billy Corben hinted at the possibility of a third 30 for 30 the U could be coming.

Nothing was more hot or buzzworthy in college football this past season than the Miami Hurricanes turnover chain. On the field, the Hurricanes had a nation’s longest 15 game winning streak until losing to Pittsburgh in the final game of the regular season. Miami also had many of their games land in the top five games of the week this season.

The University of Miami is a private school. That limits the size of their fanbase. They do have a fervent fan base that includes locals that grew up watching the teams of the 1980s, early 1990s and early 2000s.

If worth is in relation to finances, some of the biggest names in the world of business, entertainment and sports are hardcore Miami Hurricanes fans and in some cases alums. Financier Marcus Lemonis, former Miami Hurricanes football player Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson and Alex Rodriquez are all benefactors for the U.
