Where are Miami Hurricanes 2018 opponents bowling?

Eight of the Miami Hurricanes 2018 opponents will be playing in bowl games this season. Four ACC Coastal Division Opponents, two ACC Atlantic Division crossovers and two non-conference opponents.

December 23, Dollar General Bowl, Mobile, Alabama Toledo vs Appalachian State ESPN 7 ET

The Toledo Rockets are the first of the Miami Hurricanes 2018 opponents to play in a 2017 Bowl game. Toledo plays Appalachian State in the Dollar General bowl in Mobile, Alabama on December 23.

The Hurricanes defeated Toledo 52-30 at Hard Rock Stadium in September. It was an emotional victory after having a two-week bye because of hurricane Irma. Miami will travel to the Glass Bowl to play the Rockets next season.

Miami won at Appalachian State in 2016. The Mountaineers will travel to Miami for the return game in 2021. Toledo won the Mid-America Championship over Terry Bowden and Akron. They enter the game 11-2.

Toledo Quarterback Logan Woodside was the MAC Player of the Year. He threw for 3,578 yards, 28 touchdowns and five interceptions. Woodside’s numbers were down for 45, nine and 4,129 last season. He led the FBS in Touchdown Passes in 2016.

Appalachian State is led by their quarterback Taylor Lamb. Lamb has thrown for 2,606 yards, 27 touchdowns and six interceptions. He also has 539 yards and five touchdowns on the ground.

Woodside threw for 344 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in the Miami Hurricanes 52-30 win over the Rockets this season. The Hurricanes swarmed Lamb last season. He threw for just 115 yards and ran for a loss of six yards.
