Where are Miami Hurricanes 2018 opponents bowling?

December 26, Quick Lane Bowl, Detroit, Michigan, Northern Illinois vs Duke 5:15 ET ESPN

Duke is next up among the Miami Hurricanes 2018 opponents on the bowl schedule. The Blue Devils play Northern Illinois in the Quick Lane Bowl on December 26 in Detroit. Miami defeated Duke 31-6 in Durham this season.

Miami won behind 270 passing yards from Malik Rosier, 120 total yards from Mark Walton and three receptions for 106 yards and a touchdown from Ahmmon Richards.

Duke had 349 yards of total offense, but the Hurricanes held Duke to two field goals. The Blue Devils were able to accumulate 183 yards on the ground against Miami.

Duke Quarterback Daniel Jones’ numbers slipped from 2016. He threw for 2,349 yards, 12 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He also 432 rushing yards and six touchdowns. T.J. Rahming had 61 receptions for 733 yards and one touchdown. Running back Shaun Wilson ran for 743 yards on 5.1 yards per carry.

Northern Illinois uses a very balanced offense. Three quarterbacks had significant playing time this season and five receivers had at least 28 receptions. Jordan Huff was the leading rusher with 740 yards and four touchdowns on 5.8 yards per carry.

Sophomore defensive end Sutton Smith was named a first-team All-American by the Associated Press. He finished the season with 29 tackles for loss and 14 sacks. He would fit in perfectly with Manny Diaz’s Miami Hurricanes defense.
