Where are Miami Hurricanes 2018 opponents bowling?

Offensively Virginia Tech is led by Freshman quarterback Josh Jackson and All-ACC wide receiver Cam Phillips. Jackson had over 3,000 of total offense, accounted for 23 touchdowns and threw only eight interceptions. Phillips has 71 receptions for 964 yards and seven touchdowns.

Defensively the Hokies put a lot of pressure on their opponents. Four players enter the game against the Cowboys with at least ten tackles for loss. Virginia Tech is 12th nationally in TFLs.

Oklahoma State’s offense produced video game numbers this season. The Cowboys lost to their archrivals from Oklahoma this season 62-52.

Quarterback Mason Rudolph threw for 4,553 yards 35 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Wide receivers James Washington and Marcell Ateman combined for nearly 2,500 yards and 20 touchdowns. Running back Justice Hill ran for 1,347 yards and 14 touchdowns.

The Cowboys defense was a couple of notches below Virginia Tech with 93 tackles for loss in 12 games. Oklahoma State allowed 30.1 points per game which was 86th in the country.

This is only the third meeting between Virginia Tech and Oklahoma State. It’s their first meeting since playing a home-and-home in 1971 and ’72. Both teams won on their home field.
