The Miami Hurricanes held their football awards banquet last week. They gave out standard awards on offense, defense and special teams. There are some awards that were not given out that fans often speculate on.

Braxton Berrios and Jaquan Johnson were the most honored players at the Miami Hurricanes awards banquet last Saturday night. Berrios received the most awards with five, while Johnson was named the team MVP.

Among the awards that Berrios received was the Offensive MVP. That was the most questionable of the awards. Malik Rosier struggled at times this season but has played well late in games to rally the Hurricanes to victory. He has been a good dual-threat quarterback and led the Hurricanes to their best season in 15 years.

While the standard awards are interesting, most of them don’t generate discussion like some of the questions that are often posed in the social media groups and on message board.

Which player is the most clutch and who had the biggest clutch plays? Who was the most surprising? Who has the brightest future, is the most exciting and who stepped up the most? Who was the most explosive? These are all questions frequently talked about.

We can look no further than a high school or college yearbook to ponder some other questions about players on the team. Most likely to…succeed in the NFL, become a future All-American or be a first-round NFL draft pick.
