Senior wide receiver Braxton Berrios told reporters that they lost those games as a team. Speaking about the ACC Championship game Berrios said:

"“We lost the game…And I think that’s something we’ve been trying to stress…He doesn’t need to carry that weight. You can have great games and good games and you’re going to have sub-par games. Obviously it’s unfortunate that those two games ended the season that way, and the wrong people had those sub-par games at the wrong time."

While a lot of the focus has been on Rosier, Miami has had to overcome significant injuries to get to 10-2 this season. The Hurricanes lived up to their favorite status by winning the ACC Coastal Division title and playing in their first ACC Championship game.

Getting there without Mark Walton and Ahmmon Richards for significant portions of the season and losing Chris Herndon IV after the loss to Pittsburgh was impressive. Berrios discussed getting there without three of their best players on offense.

"“But at the end of the day we’re 10-2. I don’t think anybody would have told you we’d be 10-2 with three of our stars on offense [running back Mark Walton, receiver Ahmmon Richards and tight end Christopher Herndon] missing.”"

Overall the season was impressive. The underclassmen that return for 2018 all have improvements to make. Rosier is included in that. If he is going to hold on to his job his accuracy has to be better next year. Injury or not that is his biggest flaw.
