Bruce Brown was averaging 11.1 points per game before being sidelined for six weeks with a left foot injury in January. Brown is not expected back until the NCAA Tournament.

Miami has five regular season games remaining with five at home. They are currently likely to receive a middling seed in the NCAA Tournament. If they are going to move up to a more favorable seed Miami is going to have to close the season strong.

Miami begins the final stretch of games by hosting Syracuse on Saturday. Miami finishes the season at Notre Dame on Monday night, they host Boston College a week from Saturday, travel to North Carolina February 27 and host Virginia Tech March 3 in the final game of the regular season.
