During the Miami Hurricanes 10-0 start during the 2017 season, they rose to second in the College Football Playoff rankings. They were unable to sustain that momentum losing their last three games of the season.

The Miami Hurricanes lost their final regular-season game at Pittsburgh and followed that with losses against superior teams Clemson in the ACC Championship game and Wisconsin in the Orange Bowl.

The Miami Hurricanes finished 2016 strong with a five-game winning streak. They pushed it to 15 this season which was the Nation’s longest when they lost to Pittsburgh.
