The Hurricanes appeared to be headed to overtime after they stopped Boston College with three seconds remaining. BC’s Ky Bowman got fouled by Dewan Huell on the rebound of a James Robinson missed shot. He made both free throws to give the Eagles the margin of victory.

Miami missed a chance to take the lead on a missed three with 39 seconds remaining. Huell and Anthony Lawrence missed point blank put backs that would have given the Hurricanes the lead. Lawrence also initially had the rebound of Robinson’s missed shot but was stripped by Bowman.

Boston College is fighting for a postseason berth. Barring a deep run in the ACC Tournament the Eagles are likely headed to the NIT unless they collapse in the final three regular-season games plus the Conference Tournament.

Boston College is led by the backcourt of Bowman and Robinson. Robinson is second in the ACC in scoring at 20.6 points per game. Bowman is eighth in the ACC in scoring at 16.6 points per game.

Jordan Chatman is also a threat on the perimeter averaging 12.7 points per game. Deontae Hawkins gives the Eagles a presence inside at 12.4 points per game and 8.1 rebounds per game.
