The Miami Hurricanes travel to Chapel Hill North Carolina for their last road game of the 2017-18 regular season. Miami is coming off crucial wins last week at Notre Dame and a Saturday thriller at home against Boston College.

The Miami Hurricanes travel to Chapel Hill to face the ninth-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels. UNC is one of the hottest teams in the country. North Carolina enters Tuesday’s game with a six-game winning streak. They are 22-7 on the season.

The Miami Hurricanes enter the game 20-8 and received votes this week in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Miami has not been ranked since they were 25th in the AP poll on February 5. The Hurricanes began the season 13th in both the Media and Coaches polls.

Miami and North Carolina played twice last season. The Hurricanes won in Coral Gables and North Carolina ousted Miami from the ACC Tournament in the Quarterfinals.

North Carolina is led by Senior Joel Berry and Junior Luke Maye. Maye has blossomed this season after being a reserve a year ago. He hit the buzzer-beating winner to send North Carolina to the Final Four in last season’s Elite Eight victory over Kentucky.

Maye leads North Carolina this season with 18.2 points per game and 10.2 rebounds per game. Berry is averaging 17.7 PPG and is shooting 89.9 percent from the foul line. Four Tar Heels average in double figures and a fifth is at 9.8 PPG. That includes Pitt transfer, Cameron Johnson.

After a couple of subpar games, Lonnie Walker has played well for Miami the last three games. Walker is averaging 15.1 points per game and shooting 47.4 percent on his threes over the last three games.

Anthony Lawrence also turned things around against Boston College. Lawrence helped key the Hurricanes comeback from 14 points down. He hit a key three-pointer during the rally and finished the game with 13 points and nine rebounds.
